Winter skills open courses
Learning winter skills for any budding mountaineer is one of the biggest steps into becoming an independant winter mountaineer or hillwalker. Gone are the days of just pinching your dad's old ice axe and just heading out into the hills. Learning winter skills such as how to ice axe arrest and how to properly route plan to the condintions to avoid avalanches are the primary wepon in any mountaineers aresenal.
In two days on one of our open courses you will learn: Snowcraft, such as movement in crampons, ice axe use and how to use your boots as tools. Avalanche assesments Route planning and finding winter navigation Dealing with emergancies in winter |
Dates:
All our courses are based in Fort Willaim, the perfect place to access the best hills quickly. All courses will have no more than 6 people to one instructor.

25-26th of Febuary
11-12th of March
